Hopkins High School Local Scholarship Competition for Seniors Opens this Week
Please have your student look in their Royals Connect information and email for more details. If your student needs help writing scholarship essays there are two opportunities to get help. First, we have a parent volunteer coming to the school and your senior can sign up. Information is in their email and their Royals Connect. The second is through the library. Please see this link for more information.
Hopkins High School College Fair
Our in-school college fair will once again be happening on February 25, 2026. All students will be able to attend. More information about what schools are coming will be announced closer to the fair.
LIUNA Construction Industry High School Career Fair
If your student is interested in construction as a career, this fair would be important to attend. It is set for March 24, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Laborers Training Center in Lino Lakes, Minnesota. Please email Dallas Nustvold at dnustvold@ltcmn.org if you are interested in going. Unfortunately, private transportation would be needed.
West Point
If you have junior scholar interested in attending West Point, they need to apply to the Summer Leaders Experience. Information can be found below. The deadline is April 15th and the application opens in February. If your scholar is interested in a different service academy, please email Dr. Kuhl right away to find the equivalent summer program. These summer programs make their applications much more competitive.
SLE takes place the summer between their junior and senior year. High school juniors should apply between 15 February and 15 April of their junior year. To apply, complete the initial portion of the West Point application (Step 3 in our Steps to Admission) and then the SLE checklist.

š¤ Talent Show: Thanks to all scholars and staff members who made the talent show a success, as well as the audience for cheering for the students and teachers who performed!
š© On January the 22nd student council will be offering a Donut to all scholars at entrances at the start of the school day.

We’re getting ready to celebrate our seniors, and we’d love your help supporting the Class of 2026 Senior Party — a fun and safe event that takes place the day before graduation. We depend on fundraisers and donations to fund the variety of activities provided during this free event.
You're invited to attend a fundraiser event on Tuesday, January 20th between the hours of 4:30pm - 8:30pm at Unmapped Brewing Co. in Minnetonka. Fun, Friends, and Raffle Prizes!
