Hopkins Public Schools honored its 2025 Advanced Placement (AP) Scholars during a special recognition ceremony at the Oct. 21 School Board meeting, celebrating a record-breaking year of student achievement.
The College Board recognizes students who demonstrate outstanding performance on AP exams. This year, 128 Hopkins students earned AP awards, including 72 AP Scholars, 37 AP Scholars with Honors, and 18 AP Scholars with Distinction.
“In Hopkins, we believe every student has brilliance, and that brilliance is demonstrated in many ways,” said Superintendent Dr. Rhoda Mhiripiri-Reed. “Our AP Scholars exemplify the curiosity, perseverance, and excellence that define Hopkins learners.”
A Year of Record Participation and Achievement

Hopkins students continued to outperform state and national averages, with 79% earning at least one passing score, the district’s highest rate in years.
Outstanding subject highlights include:
- Spanish Literature: 100% pass rate for three consecutive years.
- U.S. Government: 100% pass rate with an average score of 4.32 out of 5.
